This week I started “Data Analysis with R Programming” and I can already tell I will be sticking to learning Python from my first impression R. I have managed to complete two weeks of this course which very quickly introduced R and programming concepts. My concern that they would rush through teaching R was right. Even if they didn’t rush through teaching R, I still feel like learning Python would’ve been better the better option for this certificate. The Syntax and terminology of R are just so different from any other programming languages that makes it more difficult to learn especially when you know some programming. Python is more beginner-friendly and has a bigger community supporting it. Maybe I need more time to learn R since it has been only one week but first impressions of R leave me convinced that Python is better for my career and self-growth. Hopefully my mind changes over the coming week since there still two more weeks of R content to go over.
Thanks for reading,
