The Journey to Certification(Week Five)

This week, I managed to complete the second course “Ask Questions to Make Data-Driven Decision”. This part of the course focused on problem solving and communication. These are two skills that will become increasingly important in our growingly divisive world. Being able to use data to solve the world problems will be key in the future as problems like climate change causes massive disruptions in global systems like agriculture, energy, etc. For example, being able to collect climate data to gain insights on how different regions will be affected by climate change and how to prepare for those changes . A more important skill will be communicating the findings of that research to right people and getting the message across clearly. It doesn’t matter how great your analysis is if you don’t communicate your findings clearly to important stakeholders. Getting stakeholders to act on your findings will be important. This course may of not have focused on the technical skills like I would’ve liked but these two skills are essential for any aspiring data analysts to know.

Thanks for reading,
MalNich
